Job summary

A leading insurance technology firm is seeking a senior MDM Architect to lead the assessment and design of a modern Master Data Management strategy. This hands-on role involves modernizing the current MDM architecture into a scalable, AI-enabled ecosystem, leading the execution of platform migration, and partnering with data and business teams. Ideal candidates will have over 10 years of experience in data architecture with a specialization in MDM tools. A background in insurance or financial services is preferred.

Overview

A senior, enterprise-scale MDM Architect to lead assessment, future-state design, and execution of a modern Master Data Management strategy across Personal and Commercial lines of insurance.

This role owns MDM architecture, platform direction, and execution leadership, including modernization from a MarkLogic-based, home-grown MDM solution to a scalable, AI-enabled MDM ecosystem.

This is a hands-on architect role, not governance-only or program management.

What This Person Will Do

• Lead As-Is → To-Be MDM assessment and roadmap
• Modernize MDM using AI-enabled matching, entity resolution, and survivorship
• Define and lead execution of platform migration or modernization
• Partner with data platform, analytics, and business teams
• Act as MDM thought leader across the organization

Must-Have Experience (Non-Negotiable)

• 10+ years in data architecture, with deep MDM specialization (look for tools like MarkLogic, Informatica MDM, Reltio, TAmr, IBM Infosphere MDM, Semarchy, Stibo)
• Strong experience mastering Customer / Party data
• Insurance or financial services background (Property & Casualty is a plus)
• Experience assessing and modernizing legacy or home-grown MDM solutions
• Ability to define architecture, roadmap, and execution approach
