Job description

InGenesis is currently seeking a Child Life Specialist to work with our client. In this role, you will provide and promote effective coping through play, preparation, education, and self-expression activities for pediatric patients receiving medical care and treatment.

Essential Job Functions:

• Meet and assess patients within 24 hours of admission or consultation.
• Formulate and implement a collaborative psychosocial care plan that is consistent with the medical needs and developmental level of each patient.
• Provide emotionally and physically safe, therapeutic, and healing environment for youth and families, focusing on decreasing stress and increasing knowledge in the healthcare environment through play and psychological preparation and support.
• Participate in child life special events.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Child Life, Child Development or related field.
• Experience in a CLS or related role.
• Active Certified Child Life Specialist License (CCLS)
• Active Child Life Certifying Committee (CLCC) Certification
