Job summary

Hillsboro Aviation is seeking experienced Utility/Powerline pilots for full-time contracts. Fly in wire environments supporting power line construction with external loads and class A/B loads. MD 500 series aircraft experience is required with 200 external-load hours and recent vertical reference work.

2 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotation. FAA commercial or ATP helicopter license and current class medical are required.

Qualifications

• FAA commercial or ATP helicopter license is required.
• Current 2nd or 1st class medical certificate.
• 50 hours make and model (MD 500 series).
• 200 external load / vertical reference hours in the wire environment.
• Recent external load / vertical reference experience.
• Preferred candidates have airframe experience in AS350, B407 and/or B205.

Responsibilities

• Fly in the wire environment to support power line construction with external and other loads.
• Operate MD 500 series aircraft for marker balls, bird diverters, and wire pull tasks.
• Follow rotational schedule of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off.
• Maintain safety and airworthiness standards during dynamic external-load operations.
