Job summary

ATCS, Inc. is expanding its Construction Services group in Maryland. We are seeking Transportation Construction Inspectors of all levels to deliver high-quality projects across the state and join a growing team.

Inspectors will perform highway, bridge, environmental, traffic, and facilities inspections; write daily reports; ensure contract compliance and safety; conduct field material tests; and document all activities for pay quantities and project records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full-time inspection experience in highway, transit and/or facilities construction.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be willing to travel throughout the State of Maryland as required.
• A vehicle in good working condition to report for work at any required site.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Acquisition and maintenance of inspection trainings/certifications (ACI, Soils & Aggregates, HMA, Traffic Control, Erosion & Sediment Control).

Responsibilities

• Perform transportation inspections on highway, bridges, environmental, traffic, and facilities projects.
• Write daily progress reports.
• Oversee contractor work to ensure compliance with contract documents and safe construction practices.
• Conduct field tests on materials (concrete slump/air, soil compaction, HMA).
• Document materials, labor compliance, safety, processing estimates, work orders, and adjustments.
• Report on-site activities and daily progress to the Project Engineer via standardized reporting; calculate pay quantities.
