Job summary

Integrated Medical Services, Inc. seeks a Primary Care MD to deliver direct patient care to pediatric, adolescent and adult patients. The role includes providing health maintenance counseling, documenting in the EHR, and coordinating referrals while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and IMS standards.

The physician will support nurse clinicians and nurse practitioners, participate in telehealth when applicable, and perform other duties as assigned to advance IMS mission and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• MD degree and licensed to practice medicine in the United States.
• Board certification or eligible for board certification.
• Experience with pediatric, adolescent and adult patient care preferred.
• Ability to document patient information accurately in IMS Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and arrange specialty referrals, diagnostic and in-patient care when appropriate.
• Document patient information and visit details in IMS EHR accurately and timely.
• Provide counseling and education on health maintenance, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up.
• Provide consultation to nurse clinicians and nurse practitioners.
• Renders care to patients per IMS standards and applicable regulations; telehealth when applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Primary Care MD will provide direct patient care to pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients. This responsibility includes the provision of and attention to the care of major and minor illnesses, to long range issues of health and disease and to the needs for specialty consultation. Receives administrative support from a Practice Manger. Instill the IMS mission, vision and values in the work performed.

• Assess patient needs and arrange for specialty referrals, diagnostic and in-patient care and make appropriate referrals for service
• Responsible for documenting patient information and visit information into IMS' Electronic Health Record in an accurate and timely manner
• Provide patients and family members with counseling and education regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and need for follow up as appropriate during each patient visit. Verify and document that the patient understands diagnosis, treatment and follow up recommendations
• Provide consultation to nurse clinicians and nurse practitioners

Renders care to patients in accordance with quality and standards as are established by IMS, the standards of care prevailing in the community, applicable law, and according to state and federal grant requirements for non-discrimination regardless of status, race, sex, religion, national origin, handicap, age, or ability to pay

REQUIREMENTS:

Requirements:

• Doctor of medicine degree from an accredited school of medicine
• Current license to practice medicine in the United States

Perform minor outpatient procedures with IMS credentialing privileging policy. Including but not limited to: o Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT) o Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT) o Polysomnograms (PSG) o Split PSG
