Job description

What you'll do
  • Operate the MD-80 as First Officer in full compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Arrive legally current, proficient, and adequately rested for every assignment; maintain and verify current airway and airport charts before departure.
  • Support the Captain with preflight planning, checklists, and a visual aircraft inspection; assume pilot monitoring duties including normal radio calls and position reports.
  • Secondarily assume the Captain’s responsibilities as directed; perform other flight duties as assigned by the Captain.
  • For passenger operations, assist the flight attendant with escorting, enplaning, and deplaning as needed.
  • Oversee or monitor fuel servicing in coordination with an Everts Air Cargo mechanic or other authorized personnel.
  • Supervise cargo loading/unloading or closely observe third-party handling to ensure:
    • Loads match the load schedule/plan;
    • Cargo is properly secured and within limits; and
    • No damage occurs to the loading system, aircraft structure, or cargo.
  • On completion of flights, audit the trip envelope to confirm all required documents are present; initial the envelope checklist as required.
  • Attend annual recurrent training, complete assigned Computer Based Training on time, maintain 90-day currency, and perform additional duties as assigned.
What you bring
  • Pilot certificates: Airline Transport Pilot (ATP - unrestricted or restricted) or Commercial Pilot certificate with multi-engine and instrument ratings.
  • Medical: Current First-Class Medical Certificate.
  • Qualifications: Meets 14 CFR Part 61 and Part 61 Subpart G standards through training, experience, and expertise.
  • Knowledge: Full understanding of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices under 14 CFR Parts 1, 23, 25, 67, 91, and 121; company OpSpecs; maintenance and airworthiness standards; and company manuals.
  • Clearances: Ability to pass a drug test and airport criminal-history background check; commitment to a drug-free workplace per company policies.
  • Other: Valid U.S. driver’s license and valid U.S. passport.
How you’ll fly safely
  • Adhere to company SOPs, checklists, and all applicable 14 CFR requirements.
  • Maintain professional communication and CRM; make normal radio calls and position reports while pilot monitoring.
  • Verify weight-and-balance and loading per the load plan; ensure securement and aircraft integrity throughout handling.
  • Keep documents complete and accurate in the trip envelope at each flight’s conclusion.
