Job summary

KBR in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Production Supervisor to lead the Ashore MCP program warehousing and logistics activities, overseeing receiving, inspecting, storing, shipping, and disposal of supplies and equipment.

You will coordinate with vendors and distribution management to ensure timely, cost-effective production, maintain accurate accountability, and uphold ISO-9002 standards while guiding a team of warehouse staff and clerks.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or coursework towards BS in business or related field.
  • In lieu of a degree, combination of college credits, professional certification or related experience may be considered.
  • Ten years of progressive experience in maintenance and logistics with supervisory responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and coordinates the activities of logistic personnel, data entry personnel, supply clerks, forklift operators, and warehouse workers.
  • Determines sequence and assignment of work based on priority and necessity.
  • Inspects work to ensure compliance with procedures and schedules.
  • Coordinates with other supervisors to integrate procedures across organizations.
  • Inspects materials and approves shipments/receipts.
  • Ensures compliance with policies and government regulations; initiates personnel actions as needed.
  • Trains new workers.
  • Maintains MCP ISO-9002 policies and ongoing compliance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Production Supervisor oversees the team performing general warehousing duties including receiving, inspecting, servicing, storing, shipping, and disposing of supplies and equipment for the Ashore branch of the MCP Program. The Production Supervisor works closely with vendors, maintenance commodities, supply personnel, and distribution management to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant production activities while maintaining accurate accountability of equipment and materials.

  • Supervises and coordinates the activities of logistic personnel, data entry personnel, supply clerks, forklift operators, and warehouse workers who are performing a wide variety of general warehousing and inventory duties to obtain optimal use of equipment, facilities, and personnel.
  • Determines sequence and assignment of work on basis of work priority and operational necessity.
  • Inspects work performed to ensure compliance with established procedures and time schedules.
  • Coordinates with other supervisors to ascertain compatibility of procedures among various organizations or branches engaged in logistic support activities and to ensure a close integration of operations.
  • Inspects materials and approves shipments/receipts.
  • Ensures compliance with administrative policies, procedures, and government regulations. Recommends or initiates personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary actions.
  • Trains new workers.
  • Recommends changes to procedures as appropriate. Maintains MCP ISO-9002 policies and procedures and ensures on‑going compliance with such.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • Associate degree and/or coursework towards a BS degree in business or another related field.
  • In lieu of a degree, a combination of college credits, professional certification, formalized training, or education, and directly related work experience may be considered.
  • Ten years of progressive experience with specialized knowledge of maintenance and logistic support activities involving supply operations, including five years in a supervisory capacity involving various aspects of cost/schedule controls, performance monitoring, report writing, program planning and customer interface.
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • U.S. Stateside Driver’s License
  • Active Department of Defense secret security clearance.
  • U.S. Passport
  • FBI Background investigation with no criminal, civil, or security violations.

  • Expert knowledge of military shipping and storage procedures.
  • Working knowledge of general maintenance procedures for military tactical equipment and supplies.
