Program Summary

The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.

Job Summary

Manages and coordinates the activities of employees performing logistics and supply chain operations within the Medical branch in direct support of the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP). This role oversees material movement, item identification, cataloging, receiving, inspecting, storing, staging, loading, and disposing of medical equipment and supplies. The position supports overarching initiatives, including the MPF, MCPP-N, and other ashore programs, as well as operations related to the retrograde of Marine Corps equipment and supplies.

Production, Staging & Prepositioning
  • AMAL/ADAL Management: Leads the assembly, packing, preservation, and staging of Class VIII medical/dental allowance lists (AMALs/ADALs) to meet strict production timelines. Supervises the production, cyclic inventory, configuration, and staging of these assets in support of MPF, MCPP-N, and other geographic prepositioning requirements.

  • Asset Transportation: Supervises the preparation and safeguarding medical supplies and assets, ensuring all environmental requirements, specialized packaging, and logistical compliance standards are met.

  • Lifecycle Logistics: Executes policies, procedures, and logistics actions pertaining to the procurement, receipt, accounting, repair, storage, issue, disposal, computation, and maintenance of stock levels.

Systems Accountability & Compliance
  • Data Integrity: Acts as the primary manager for DMLSS transactions, ensuring 100% data integrity for all prepositioned medical stocks.

  • Systems Proficiency: Demonstrates advanced proficiency in DMLSS, GCSS-MC, and IMark to maintain absolute inventory control, track equipment maintenance schedules, and generate operational readiness reports.

  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensures strict adherence to FDA guidelines, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) medical regulations, and cold-chain management protocols for temperature-sensitive medical materiel and pharmaceuticals (Shelf-Life Program). Manages shelf-life programs and temperature-controlled shipping standards in accordance with federal and military guidelines.

  • Policy & Safety: Ensures strict compliance with all administrative policies, governmental regulations, and MCPP/ISO standards, while maintaining, reviewing, and recommending proactive improvements to operational procedures. Ensures all employees adhere to safety requirements, procedures, and policies.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Team Supervision: Supervises diverse teams, including data entry personnel, supply clerks, warehouse workers, forklift operators, and Medical Repair Technicians.

  • Workflow Management: Determines the type, sequence, and assignment of work based on Planning Consideration and Production Schedules. Inspects work performed to ensure compliance with established procedures and time schedules.

  • Inter-Agency Liaison: Collaborates directly with the Head, Medical Materiel Management Team and contracted personnel to support MPF ship production. Coordinates with the Medical Repair Technician LEAD to ensure all prepositioned medical devices undergo scheduled calibrations and technical testing prior to deployment.

  • Departmental Collaboration: Works closely with other departments to coordinate the receiving, reporting, shipping, and transporting of medical assets.

  • Financial Oversight: Participates in the budget process, including the administration and expenditure of allotted funds.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications
  • Education: BA/BS degree with a major study in logistics, engineering, or a related field. (In lieu of a degree, a combination of college credits, other formalized training or education, and directly related work experience may be considered).

  • Experience: Eight (8) years of progressive work experience, including at least four (4) years of supervisory experience in a logistics operation support environment.

  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of logistics operations and hands‑on proficiency with DMLSS, to include inventory management, procurement, item identification, warehousing, medical materiel management, equipment maintenance tracking, facility management, and customer support coordination.

  • Military Training: Completion of the Ground Supply Officer Course or equivalent.

  • Domain Knowledge: Experience and/or familiarity with medical equipment and supplies preferred.

  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizen.

  • Travel: 20-30% requirement
