Job summary

Kiewit Technology Group is seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join the MCP Engineering Team. This role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and supporting MCP servers and integrations that enable AI agents, copilots, and enterprise applications to securely interact with business systems, APIs, databases, and workflows.

The Software Engineer will collaborate with the Technical Lead, Product Owner, QA Engineers, and stakeholders to build scalable MCP solutions that accelerate AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS, IS, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of software development experience.
• Experience developing APIs and application integrations.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Experience with cloud-hosted applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain MCP servers and tools.
• Build integrations between AI platforms and enterprise applications.
• Develop reusable services, APIs, and libraries.
• Create well-structured, secure code and participate in design discussions.
• Contribute to technical documentation and implementation standards.
• Implement MCP tools, resources, prompts, and workflows.
• Develop connectors to REST APIs, SQL Server, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure services.
• Create unit and integration tests and ensure security/quality standards.
• Support AI-assisted development and automation workflows.
• Assist with CI/CD pipeline implementation and deployments.
