Job summary

Mastercraft Boat Company LLC in Vonore, TN is seeking full-time Direct Labor workers to lay in and roll chop/mat, biaxial, woven and foam into decks, hulls and liners. You will apply fiberglass and resin to molds and ensure smooth finishes.

This role requires adherence to safety policies, use of PPE, and the ability to read instructions. Prior lamination experience is preferred, and a willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Reports to work on time for designated shift.
• Adheres to company safety policies and procedures.
• Sprays fiberglass and/or lays sheets of fiberglass on part mold.
• Cuts and trims material to fit part using scissors and knife.
• Uses resin gun to wet out part.
• Air rolls part using air roller to remove air bubbles from part.
• Maintains wet out system, cleans tools, and disposes of chemicals in proper areas.
• Responsible for clean and orderly workstation.
• Move parts from station to station.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

Laying in and rolling of chop/mat, biaxial, woven and foam into decks, hulls and liners. Apply sheets of fiberglass and liquid resin to mold of boat and smooth out with brushes and rollers.

• Reports to work on time for designated shift.
• Adheres to company safety policies and procedures.
• Sprays fiberglass and/or lays sheets of fiberglass on part mold.

Duties (Non-Essential):Performs related duties as assigned.

Education & Work Experience: Minimum education level required, however GED or equivalent preferred. Previous lamination experience preferred. Must be able to read and understand instructions.

Environmental Conditions:Must wear personal protective equipment, including gloves, apron, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, safety glasses and a respirator. Plant environment varies with outside temperature and noise levels vary in different production areas.

Language skills - Able to understand spoken instructions with regard to job training and safety concerns and the ability to speak conversational English.

Reasoning skills - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed finishing of all products. Ability to deal with changes related to equipment use and productivity.
