Job summary

Amentum Space Exploration Division (ASED) is seeking a Model Based Systems Engineer to support the HLS program at MSFC. You will manage SysML models in Cameo, interface with multiple engineering disciplines, and participate in reviews and trade studies to mature system solutions.

The role requires strong MBSE experience, communication skills, and the ability to work across organizations. Travel and cross-program coordination are expected in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of hands-on SysML experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with customers and engineering personnel.
• Proven ability to maintain clean data, efficient workflows, and orderly space structures in a fast-paced matrixed environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and advise users on best practices within the modeling tool.
• Able to work self-directed with potential leadership in HLS systems engineering.
• Experience working across organizational boundaries to facilitate tasks and resolve integration issues.
• Knowledge of MBSE policies and verification data management; familiarity with related tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or support the administration of the SysML model, configuring and upgrading.
• Lead and/or support the creation, importing and managing user accounts, roles and permissions within Teamwork Cloud.
• Design and implement structural components, activities, states, interfaces and/or requirements.
• Provide end-user support and issue resolution for the modeling environment.
• Coordinate with HLS engineering disciplines and customers; participate in reviews and trade studies.
• Support evaluation of prime contractor deliverables and verification activities.
• Develop integrated schedules and tracking mechanisms for program milestones.
• Implement Digital Engineering practices and tools; communicate risks and lessons learned.
