Job summary

Synectic Solutions, Inc. seeks a Journeyman MBSE Systems Engineer for the Model-Based Systems Engineering Division to support the F/A-18 programs at Patuxent River NAS in Lexington Park, MD. You will apply MBSE principles, perform system integration and analysis, and use Cameo tools to model architectures.

U.S. Citizen with TS/SCI clearance and a technical BS/BA are required; 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with Active TS/SCI Clearance.
• Technical BS or BA degree.
• Minimum of 2 years recent and relevant Systems Engineering experience with Model-Based Engineering.
• Experience using MBSE Tools, such as Cameo System Modeler, Cameo EA, Teamwork Cloud, Cameo Collaborator.
• Familiarity with interface definition practices and verification fundamentals.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving, review-driven environment with multiple stakeholders.

• Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems.
• Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
• Applies systems engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.
• Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems, or management information systems.
• Experience with MBSE practices.
• Expertise in building and assessing systems engineering and architecture models using modeling methodologies to conduct technical assessments and recommendations.
• Experience with systems engineering analyses and using results with other engineering models to optimize performance, schedule, costs, etc.
• Experience with how system requirements, design, analysis, verification and validation activities are enabled by MBSE across the digital thread.
• Requires experience with systems engineering and model-based methodologies, and models using UML/SysML/UAF.

PMA-265 is responsible for acquiring, delivering, and sustaining the F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft, ensuring mission success for U.S. Navy and Marine Corps aviators,
