Job summary

SMX seeks a Journeyman MBSE Systems Engineer to support the Model-Based Systems Engineering Division at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD.

You will apply engineering principles to analyze, design, develop, test, and evaluate military weapons systems, review technical documentation, and perform MBSE activities using Cameo tools. This role requires U.S. citizenship and a Secret clearance (TS/SCI desired).

Qualifications

• Clearance required: Secret (minimum), TS/SCI desired.
• US Citizenship is required for work on DoD contract.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (BS/BA).
• Minimum 2 years recent Systems Engineering experience with MBSE.
• Experience with MBSE tools such as Cameo suite.
• Familiarity with interface definition and verification fundamentals.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, review-driven environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience applying MBSE practices to model-based analyses and architectural models.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to investigate, design, develop, test, or evaluate military weapons systems.
• Review and prepare engineering analyses, reports, and technical documentation.
• Perform system integration, configuration management, QA testing, and acquisition/resource management.
• Analyze and develop software, components, or systems related to MBSE and digital thread.
