Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a System Engineer III in Virginia Beach, VA to provide MBSE-focused engineering support to the SSDS Integration Engineering Team. The role requires interaction with external CSEs, participation in ICWGs, and support for configuration management and technical reviews.

Qualified candidates have a BS in a technical field and 5+ years of Systems Engineering/MBSE experience, plus strong communication skills and an active Secret clearance. Travel is <10%, with remote work not indicated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical discipline; and 5+ years of Systems Engineering/Enterprise Architecture with MBSE.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, architecture, requirements, interfaces, and integration.
• Proficient in communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains relationships with External Combat System Elements interfacing with the SSDS MK 2 Combat System.
• Organizes and supports Combat System Interface Control Working Groups (ICWGs).
• Supports SSDS Local Configuration Control Boards (LCCBs) and related configuration management.
• Supports the SSDS Navy Review Team (NRT) and associated technical reviews.
• Maintains the IRS/IDS/IDS Electronic Document Library and keeps interface docs current.
• Applies MBSE to support architecture, integration, and engineering activities.
• Develops and maintains system models, architectural views, and interface definitions.
• Collaborates with engineering teams and external organizations to resolve integration issues.
• Identifies gaps, vulnerabilities, and improvement opportunities; develops solutions.
• Supports technical reviews, engineering analyses, and configuration management throughout the lifecycle.
