Job summary

MTSI is seeking a skilled Model-Based Systems Engineer to support an advanced air platform program at Wright Patterson AFB, Dayton, OH. The role centers on applying MBSE methods to design, analyze, and integrate mission-critical systems, ensuring interoperability and performance across architectures.

Qualifications

• 5 years of MBSE or related systems engineering experience.
• Cameo, MagicDraw, or Teamwork Cloud experience.
• SysML experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
• BS in STEM or Operations Research is highly desired.
• 7+ years MBSE experience is preferred.
• Experience with DoDAF and RMF is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with development of MBSE models, plans, and documentation.
• Lead and assist with defining and maintaining customer requirements within an MBSE environment.
• Lead and assist with defining and maintaining customer enterprise architecture, system architecture, behavior, use cases, and test in an MBSE environment.
• Resolve technical issues impacting development schedule or performance of the Digital effort.
• Develop Schedules, Plans of Action, and Milestones for development and test schedules.
• Prepare and present MBSE status reports, briefings, and evaluation reports.
• Conduct and participate in technical meetings and working groups.
• Share lessons learned with the customer team.
• Provide recommendations for programmatic, financial, or technical decisions to engineers.
• Assist government engineers by tracking and monitoring contract performance per CDRLs, SOW, and OA efforts.
