Job summary

Augustine Consulting, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Model-Based Systems Engineer to support the CPE ISW for IEW&S HQs SETA.

The role emphasizes MBSE, model-driven design, and collaboration with software and integration teams on ATAK plugins and TAK Server interfaces. Candidates should hold a Top Secret with SCI clearance (or the ability to obtain) and have extensive experience with SysML/UML modeling, system decomposition, and security-conscious network design.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain Top Secret w/SCI clearance.
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years or Master’s with 5+ years of related experience.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain SysML/UML models for architecture, behavior, interfaces, and requirements traceability.
Translate requirements into functional models for software development.
Support decomposition and interfaces across plugins, core services, and TAK Server.
Collaborate with software and integration teams to align architecture and implementation.
Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and TIMs as a systems engineering representative.
Support verification and validation through mapped test cases.
Produce ICDs, SDDs, and modeling standards documentation.
Design and implement secure LAN/WAN/VPN architectures and topologies.
Troubleshoot complex system and network issues using diagnostics and automation.
Apply network security best practices to protect systems and data.
Write automation scripts in Python and PowerShell.
Contribute to multidisciplinary R&D projects and maintain system diagrams and SOPs.
