Job summary

nou Systems, Inc. (nSI) has opened a Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) / Digital Engineer role in Beavercreek, Ohio within our Technical Solutions Division.

You will develop, analyze, and maintain system models using MBSE methods, and support DoD acquisition processes. Collaborate with software, hardware, and cyber engineers to design architectures, perform requirements traceability, and deliver technical documentation to leadership and government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in systems engineering with direct MBSE experience.
• Proficiency with MBSE methodologies and tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, IBM Rhapsody, EA).
• Strong knowledge of SysML/UML for modeling architectures and system behaviors.
• Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA) and traceability processes.
• Ability to interface with customers in technical and programmatic contexts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and maintain system models using MBSE methodologies and tools.
• Design and integrate system architectures, interfaces, and workflows for DoD acquisition.
• Conduct requirements analysis, traceability, and validation across lifecycles.
• Support digital engineering capabilities including digital thread/twin integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure interoperability.
• Provide MBSE guidance to program managers and engineers.
• Prepare and deliver technical documentation and briefings.
