Job summary

Morgan Stanley's Fixed Income SPG Trading desk seeks an experienced Associate to VP to join the Collateralized Mortgage Obligation and Agency Derivatives trading team in New York. You will price, hedge, and manage books while engaging clients as a market maker across CMOs and related derivatives.

Ideal candidates have strong quantitative and interpersonal skills, with a Bachelor's degree and experience in CMO trading preferred.

Responsibilities

• Price, hedge, evaluate and manage book as an MBS CMO/derivatives trader and market maker.
• Assess relative value across agency specified pool, CMO and derivatives market.
• Formulate, express and execute trade ideas within rates, vol and mortgages (treasury futures, swaps, TBAs, etc.).
• Interact with a diverse client base to provide liquidity as a market maker and build firm relationships.
• Assist desk with PnL reporting, market color, indications, and weekly commentary.
• Maintain frequent dialogue with IT, strats, sales, trading desks, research, operations and finance.
