Job summary

State of Maryland's Department of Social and Economic Mobility seeks a seasoned supervisor to lead MBE/DBE/ACDBE/SBE program officers in Maryland. You will oversee certification processes, provide training, and ensure policy compliance to promote inclusive small business growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Five years of experience investigating regulated activities to ensure compliance with Federal, State or municipal laws; or overseeing program and business development activities; or coordinating and conducting community outreach activities and events; or monitoring contracts for compliance.
Graduate level education may be substituted for the required experience at the rate of 30 semester credit hours for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

Supervise, train, and assist MBE officers in the interpretation and application of MBE/DBE/ACDBE/SBE programs.
Develops and implements training programs and SOPs to streamline efficiencies and service levels for MBE/DBE/ACDBE/SBE.
Investigates complaints alleging abuse and fraud in the programs and conducts special investigations into discrimination or eligibility issues.
Confer with attorneys concerning various legal matters related to certifications and compliance.
Testify in court or administrative proceedings as required and prepare reports regarding certification and expansion of services.
