Job summary

GCM Grosvenor is seeking a recent MBA graduate to join the Private Equity Co-Investments team as an Associate. The role covers the full investment cycle—from sourcing and due diligence to execution and monitoring.

You will prepare investment memorandums, interact with legal and clients, support fundraising efforts, and mentor junior staff while developing complex cash flow models and return analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics; MBA highly preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years in private equity, investment banking or consulting/advisory.
• Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
• Exceptional critical thinking, quantitative and analytical skills.
• Superior organization, decision making and problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Play an active role in investment transactions from start to finish, including screening opportunities, due diligence and monitoring investments post-close.
• Prepare investment memorandums and due diligence findings for internal committees and clients.
• Contribute to investment recommendations by translating market knowledge into actionable analyses.
• Coordinate with legal counsel to review terms and execute transactions.
• Manage operational due diligence workflow and assist in closing processes.
• Support client relationship management with periodic portfolio updates and investor communications.
• Assist fundraising efforts for private equity separate accounts and commingled funds.
• Build and modify models for cash flow projections, fund cash flow and co-investment analyses.
• Supervise junior analysts/interns and train them on processes.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
