Job summary

PIMCO invites MBA/MFE students to its Newport Beach office for a 10-week Summer Intern – Associate, Portfolio Management, from early June to mid-August. You will develop and present investment strategies, and work with AI-powered tools from day one.

Qualifications

• MBA or Master’s in Finance or related quantitative field from a top school
• Completion expected between Dec 2027 – Jun 2028
• Preference for exposure to finance, econometrics or applied math

Responsibilities

• Developing, presenting, and executing investment strategies to optimize long-run performance
• Preparing daily research notes and market updates on news and trading levels
• Supporting account managers by updating accounts based on market conditions and performance
• Contributing to firm forecasts and strategy development across sectors
