Job summary

The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia invites applications for a full-time Academic General Faculty (non-tenure track) professor to teach in its MBA degree programs. This faculty position will be affiliated with the Accounting Area and start in Fall 2027.

Applicant review will begin October 1, 2026, and the position will remain open until filled. AGFs contribute to teaching, service, case writing, and may conduct research with access to a research budget and potential

Qualifications

• Must hold a master's degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution; doctorate preferred.
• Ability to teach managerial and financial accounting core courses and MBA electives.
• Experience with student-centered, case-based teaching and experiential learning.
• Interest in curriculum and course development; capable of teaching executives.

Responsibilities

• Teach in MBA programs across core and elective courses.
• Provide service to the community and write case studies.
• Conduct research and manage a research budget; apply for summer salary.
• Contribute to curriculum and course development and mentoring students.
