Job summary

MasterBrand Cabinets LLC, a leading cabinet manufacturer, seeks a skilled finishing technician for the 1st shift. You will mix topcoats, sealers and stains, monitor finishes, and maintain logs and reports to ensure efficient production.

The role emphasizes precision, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced plant environment. Responsibilities include coordinating with the Finishing department, loading materials, and supporting continuous improvement through the MasterBrand Production System.

Qualifications

  • Hazardous Material and respirator certifications required.

Responsibilities

  • Mix topcoat, sealer and/or stain with correct reducers and additives to ensure workability.
  • Schedule, record, track and maintain departmental activity logs and reports.
  • Monitor finish substance and adjust for correct volume and thickness with temperature/humidity changes.
  • Assist or perform loading/unloading of shipments and waste disposal as needed.
  • Support MasterBrand Production System (MPS) and safety programs.
  • Rotate into other finishing roles as required; maintain a positive team environment.

Job Description

This position is responsible for safely and efficiently providing technical paint kitchen support to the Finishing department. This position requires strong technical skills.

Your Role

Mix topcoat, sealer and/or stain with correct number of reducers, additives, agitation, and under adequate temperatures to ensure material workability and performance. Schedule, record, track and maintain departmental activity logs and reports. Mix color/topcoat/sealer onto parts moving on overhead line. Monitor finish substance and adjust for correct volume and thickness in accordance with room temperature and humidity changes. May assist in or perform the moving and disposing of Hazardous Waste requirements. May load and unload trucks for material shipments. May assist as needed to perform flow rates, mil checks, and equipment set-ups. Rotate into other finishing department positions as required. Maintain and promote positive attitude, teamwork and cooperation. Support Continuous Improvement by participating in and sustaining the MasterBrand Production System (MPS). Follow and support safety initiatives and assist in development of safety programs. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Support Specialist.

Work Environment

Manufacturing environment, with frequent exposure to wood dust, and cabinetmaking related materials. Exposure to hot and cold elements due to non-climate-controlled environment. Wearing of Personal Protection Equipment required: eye and ear protection. Adherence to Entanglement clothing policy required.

Sensory / Physical Requirements

Frequent speaking, hearing, near vision, far vision and touch. Frequent head/neck static position, rotation, flexion and extension. Frequent change in torso/back position, frequent stooping, bending and twisting. Frequent finger dexterity. Frequent simple grasp, firm grasp and wrist flexion. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, and climbing of stairs and ramps. Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching and carrying. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive-motion tasks for the duration of working shift.

SHIFT

1st shift hours: Monday – Thursday 6am to 4:30pm (some overtime required)

PAY

Offering eligible candidates a $1,000 sign-on bonus for 1st shift Minimum starting rate of $17 per hour and may vary based on previous experience Perfect Attendance Bonus of up to an additional $1,000 per year

Compensation Range

$22.00-27.82 *Actual pay will vary based on qualifications and other factors
