Job summary

IMI plc in Irwin, PA is seeking a skilled Mazak CNC Operator to set up, operate, and maintain Mazak CNC lathes and mills with Mazatrol controls. You will produce high-quality parts according to engineering specs while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role is on-site for the second shift (3:00 pm–1:30 am) in Irwin, PA. Ideal candidates will have experience with Mazak CNC machines and inspection practices, reading blueprints, and maintaining tooling and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Mazak CNC machines with Mazatrol controls in a production setting.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings and interpret tolerances.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
• Knowledge of machining practices, tooling selection, and part inspection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Mazak CNC lathes and mills using Mazatrol controls.
• Perform in-process inspections, including first article inspections, to ensure parts meet specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and tolerances.
• Load/unload parts with overhead cranes, deburr parts, and complete production documentation.
• Monitor tooling life, minimize downtime, and communicate maintenance needs.
