Job description

The Maximo Database Administrator will support the Department of Defense in a remote role anywhere in the United States; must be able to adjust schedule based on customer needs in different time zones.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop Maximo system enhancements such as database changes, workflow changes, configuration changes, automation scripts and BIRT reports (e.g. modify existing reports based on customer requirements, troubleshoot existing reports and develop new reports based on appropriate templates).
  • Develop standard reports and key performance indicators (KPI) based on customer requirements that can be pulled by personnel with access to Maximo.
  • Perform planning, testing, deploying and maintaining both existing and future Maximo EAM implementations.
  • Provide production support to analyze day-to-day issues and resolve user issues with system performance, availability, and functionality.
  • Contribute to training sessions with end users to understand asset management requirements and to help design a solution that meets their needs.
  • Participate in the development of key project deliverables such as design documents, test documentation, training materials, and administration/procedural guides.
  • Work with I.T. department and Team to release migration, performance testing and tuning, upgrades and user acceptance testing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • This position requires US Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information.
  • This position requires a Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
  • Must have a bachelor's degree with 8+ years of recent and related work experience.
  • In lieu of degree: Candidate's with 12+ years of recent and related experience will be considered.
  • Maximo Database Administrator with strong database and Maximo skills.
  • Must have experience developing Maximo system enhancements such as database changes, workflow changes, configuration changes, automation scripts, standard reports, and BIRT reports.
  • Perform planning, testing, deploying and maintaining both existing and future Maximo EAM implementations.
  • Provide production support to analyze day-to-day issues and resolve user issues with system performance, availability, and functionality.

DESIRED:

  • Experience improving existing Maximo applications to enhance current business operations.
  • Experience making recommendations for Maximo process and system improvements.
  • Experience recommending, developing, and expanding usage of under-utilized Maximo functions.
  • Experience ensuring that technical services, such as display changes, data load/migration and custom programming are delivered as scheduled.
  • Experience researching, identifying, and assisting in the formulation of recommendations about resources required for task execution and completion.

WORK LOCATION:

  • This position is a remote position; the employee will need to adjust their schedule to support the customer in different time zones, as needed.
  • This position may require some travel.
  • Core duty hours are 07:30 to 16:00 with 30 minutes for lunch.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS REQUIRED:

All Bastion employees must be able to pass a national agency check, some positions require a clearance and will require an extensive background verification/check process.


DRUG AND ALCOHOL SCREENING REQUIRED:

All Bastion employees must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen; some contracts require participation in periodic random drug and alcohol screening programs.

  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Must have a strong work ethic and must be safety culture oriented.
  • Must be organized with good time management skills.
  • Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
  • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time).
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
  • Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.
  • Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.

SALARY RANGE:

$110,000 to $160,000, salary will depend on education and experience.
