Job summary

Tempur Sealy in Kansas City is seeking a dedicated Mattress Assembler to join a two-person team assembling encased cil type mattress units by attaching sides/ends and bottom to encased coil units using a glue gun and hog rings. The role also installs FR socks on hybrid style units and performs duties as assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities include moving mattresses to the work area and cart, gluing toppers and rails, keeping the area clean, and adhering to safety procedures while refilling

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactory.
• Continuous walking and standing at workstation.
• Frequent handling (lifting) of mattresses on worktable and from workstation to cart.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Moves the mattress on and off table and onto cart.
• Glues topper and side rails to units.
• Maintains clean work area and follows proper safety procedures
• Refills glue pot as needed throughout the day.
• Must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactory.
