Job summary

UCLA Health's Respiratory Care leadership role at UCLA Mattel Hospital seeks an experienced leader to guide staff, coordinate schedules, and advance evidence-based practices across acute care units in Los Angeles.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of relevant respiratory therapy leadership experience.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and currently certified Respiratory Care Practitioner, State of California.
  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
  • Demonstrate strong clinical expertise with a solid understanding of clinical practice, procedures, and related equipment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, JCAHO standards, infection control practices, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to lead staff, coordinate schedules, and manage departmental operations
  • Skill in assessing patient needs, prioritizing interventions, and providing guidance to staff.
  • Resolve staffing, equipment, or patient care issues efficiently.
  • Managing departmental finances, supplies, and equipment inventory.
  • Lead qualityimprovement efforts that enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Resolve interpersonal conflicts within teams and across departments with professionalism and care.
  • Perform well under pressure and make timely decisions in urgent or highstress situations.
  • Build a positive team environment by motivating staff, supporting morale, and fostering professional growth.

Salary Range: $52.16 - $115.66 Hourly
