Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems in Arkansas is seeking a Warehouse Associate to coordinate incoming and outgoing materials, perform shipping/receiving duties, and maintain accurate inventory to support production schedules.

You will examine shipments, complete required paperwork, use forklifts and hand trucks, and lift up to 45 pounds while following established procedures and safety guidelines. Flexibility for shifts and outdoor work is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and operate material handling equipment.
• Attention to detail, documentation accuracy and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Performs manual duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering materials.
• Records, counts, weighs or measures items to verify against records and bills of lading.
• Examines shipments for damage or shortages and coordinates with shippers to rectify.
• Completes paperwork required for documentation.
• Gathers, verifies, weighs and packs items for shipment according to specifications.
• Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock.

Job Summary

Coordinates incoming and outgoing movement and storage of raw materials, finished products and parts that include functions such as warehousing, shop and delivery services to ensure material availability and delivery when needed to meet production schedules | Compiles data on order volume, production schedules and forecasts and applies statistical methods to estimate future materials requirements

Essential Functions

• Performs manual duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies.
• Records, counts, weighs or measures incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
• Examines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify.
• Completes paperwork or forms required for documentation.
• Gathering, verifying, weighing and packing items for shipment according to specifications and the applicable transportation method.
• Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required and 2-4 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education & or Experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical Training Degree
• Written communication skills.
• Ability to gather and document information.
• Ability to lift/move heavy objects.
• Mechanical knowledge.
• Safety knowledge.

Physical Requirements

• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
• May be requested to work a different shift.
• Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
