Job summary

NC State University is seeking a temporary IT Intern to serve as the primary liaison between the AGI Math Lecturer and the MathGPT development team for the MathGPT platform in the mathematics curriculum.

Before Fall 2026, responsibilities include integrating the MAA 102 curriculum, importing homework, testing from a student perspective, and training the Math Lecturer on content management within the platform.

Qualifications

• MS in Computer Science (or related field) with at least one year of work experience.
• Fluency in My Open Math.

Responsibilities

• Integrate the MAA 102 curriculum into MathGPT and import course homework into the platform.
• Test the system from the student perspective to evaluate functionality, usability, and feedback quality.
• Provide training to the Math Lecturer on managing and updating course content within the platform.
• Provide ongoing technical and operational support during the Fall 2026 semester.
• Respond to urgent faculty inquiries and troubleshoot significant issues affecting students.
• Coordinate with the MathGPT development team to resolve technical concerns and ensure reliability.
