Job summary

This role is not classroom teaching or grading. It is grant‑funded with a local salary schedule of $20.15/hour for up to 19 hours/week, emphasizing compliance and reporting for TRIO programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of three years teaching or tutoring experience.
• Experience with first‑generation, low‑income, or students with disabilities preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer applications and willingness to learn TRIO data systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small‑group tutoring in mathematics to TRIO SSS participants.
• Help students develop study skills, time management, note‑taking, and confidence.
• Support understanding of course material, writing mechanics, reading comprehension, and critical thinking.
• Monitor progress and communicate concerns to TRIO staff.
• Encourage engagement with TRIO SSS services via referrals.
• Maintain documentation of tutoring services and progress in Blumen database in compliance with TRIO reporting.
• Participate in staff meetings and TRIO-related trainings.
• Adhere to institutional policies, TRIO guidelines, and confidentiality standards.
• Maintain time and effort documentation per grant requirements.
• Perform related duties to support TRIO SSS goals.
