Lawson State Community College is seeking a part‑time tutor to provide supplemental mathematics tutoring for TRIO SSS participants. You will reinforce course content, support independent learning, and help with study skills, time management, and academic confidence.

The tutor provides supplemental academic tutoring support in mathematics to eligible TRIO SSS participants. This role supports student retention, persistence, and graduation through structured individual and small‑group tutoring aligned with institutional curricula and TRIO program objectives.
This is not a teaching or grading position. The instructor does not deliver classroom instruction or assign grades. All services are supplemental and designed to reinforce course content and promote independent learning.
Salary Schedule Placement: Local Salary Schedule $20.15 per hour up to 19 hours per week
This is a grant‑funded position. Continued employment is contingent upon funding from the grant. Non‑probationary status is not attainable by employment in this position, the funding and duration of which are finite.
