Concordia University Texas invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Mathematics. The successful candidate will teach Mathematics courses across multiple modalities, contribute to the university's mission, and mentor students in a Christian inclusive environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in Mathematics (PhD preferred) and is committed to Lutheran higher education principles, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and ongoing professional development within a faith-based context.

Formación

• Be academically qualified to teach Mathematics courses. A Master's degree in Mathematics is required, a terminal degree (PhD) in the area of Mathematics is preferred.
• Be committed to teaching at a Lutheran university and from a distinctly Christian lens. Active participation in a Christian church required; in a Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod church preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Approach teaching and learning from a faith perspective, continually learning about their own faith identity as well as Concordia's commitment to teaching through the Lutheran learning model.
• Prioritize excellent teaching in a variety of teaching modalities (face to face, online, hybrid), recognizing the diversity of our student body.
• Demonstrate equitable and inclusive practices both inside and outside the classroom
• Ability to articulate and model the Concordia University Texas’ mission, vision, and values
• Commitment to encouraging and supporting diversity, inclusion, and equity as a key component of becoming the premier university where the adventure of faith, learning, and life-changing experiences leads to meaningful work
