Job summary
Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) seeks in-person adjunct faculty to teach mathematics courses, from Math Essentials for Statistics and Intermediate Algebra to Precalculus, Statistics, and Math Education for Preservice Elementary Teachers. Adjunct needs are determined each semester; classes run Monday–Friday.
Qualifications: Required—Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics; Master’s in Mathematics or Mathematics Education with at least 18 graduate hours in Mathematics; Preferred—community college
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics required.
- Master’s degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education with substantial graduate math coursework required.
- Community college teaching experience preferred.
- Experience working with diverse student populations preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teach GRCC course offerings in Mathematics.
- Foster an equity-minded learning environment advancing inclusion and belonging.
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Assess student performance and report grades by contractual deadlines.
- Respond to communications promptly and provide access to course information.
- Comply with College policies and the Faculty Association Contract.
