Job summary

Options For Youth (OFY) is seeking a Certificated Math teacher for substitute roles in California. The ideal candidate will instruct math to middle/high school students in small classes or 1:1 settings and collaborate with staff to analyze data and tailor interventions.

Strong knowledge of math instruction and data-driven planning is required. The position requires a California 30-Day Substitute Teaching Credential or a preliminary/clear single subject credential, with proficiency in MS Office

Pay Range:

$29.70 - $36.50 - Hourly – Depending on Experience.

Our Ideal Candidate Will:

• Instruct students in Math within a small classroom or 1:1 environment.
• Collaboratively plan with instructional staff to effectively analyze and use data to implement intervention programs.
• Create reports and use data to plan lessons while continuously monitoring the progress of students receiving intervention services, to adjust instructional practice and student grouping.
• Provide support for all levels of mathematics including upper subject areas such as Statistics and Pre-calculus.
• Maintains a tracking system that indicates student appointment times, progress, and areas of improvement and meets with students regularly to discuss areas of development.

You’ll Need The Following Minimum Requirements:

• California 30-Day Substitute Teaching Credential or preliminary or clear single subject credential.
• Knowledge of scientifically based mathematics instruction specifically related to middle and high school grade students.
• Knowledge of MS Office and/or Google Suite.
