Job summary

Options For Youth (OFY) is a nonprofit public charter school network in California seeking an energetic math educator to support students in grades 7–12 in small classes or 1:1 settings.

The ideal candidate holds a California 30-Day Substitute Teaching Credential (or provisional/clear single subject credential) and is proficient with MS Office and Google Suite, data analysis, and creating intervention plans. Qualifications

• California 30-Day Substitute Teaching Credential or preliminary/clear single subject credential.
• Knowledge of scientifically based mathematics instruction for middle and high school.
• Proficiency with MS Office and/or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in Math in small classroom or 1:1 environment.
• Collaboratively plan with instructional staff to analyze data and implement intervention programs.
• Create reports and use data to plan lessons while monitoring progress of students receiving intervention services.
• Provide support for all levels of mathematics including Statistics and Pre-calculus.
• Maintains a tracking system that indicates student appointment times, progress, and areas of improvement and meets with students regularly to discuss areas of development.
