Job summary

Capital Region Math's Mathnasium of Niskayuna is hiring part-time Math Instructors who enjoy working with kids and helping them build confidence in math. You'll guide students in grades K-8 through foundational topics and use the Mathnasium Method in a warm, structured center setting.

This position is in-person, requires at least two days per week (Mon-Thu evenings and Saturday options), paid training, flexible hours, and growth opportunities to lead roles.

Qualifications

• You're comfortable with math through pre-algebra (we'll train you on how to teach it our way).
• You enjoy working with kids and know how to keep them focused, positive, and feeling successful.
• You're dependable, upbeat, and can follow a clear structure.
• You're available at least two consistent days per week.
• This is an in-person position—you'll be part of the center team, not tutoring remotely.

Responsibilities

• Work in person with students in grades K-8 on foundational math concepts through pre-algebra
• Keep students engaged, focused, and motivated using positive reinforcement and interactive learning
• Work with 1-3 students at a time, guiding them through personalized learning plans

Mathnasium of Niskayuna, locally operated by Capital Region Math, is hiring part-time Math Instructors who enjoy working with kids and helping them build confidence in math. You'll work with elementary and middle school students, guiding them through math topics like addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, and pre-algebra.

At Mathnasium, we're not just about getting the correct answers. We help students feel capable, encouraged, and even excited about math. You'll use our proven Mathnasium Method to support kids in a warm, structured environment that makes math make sense.

Our Niskayuna center serves students from the highly-rated Niskayuna School District and surrounding communities on Balltown Road.
