Job summary

Stubblefield Institute is seeking a Math Tutor for High School Students to assist on-campus during 3–5pm on days Shepherd University is open for Fall 2024 and/or Spring 2025.

The position requires a 2.8+ GPA, at least one qualifying Math course with a B or higher, and part-time enrollment at Shepherd University for Fall/Spring 2026-2027. Prior tutoring or TA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA of 2.8 or higher.
• At least one MATH course with a grade B or higher.
• Enrolled part-time at Shepherd University for Fall/Spring 2026-2027.

Responsibilities

• Provide help and answer math questions for high school students.
• Tutor during on-campus sessions 3–5pm on days Shepherd University is open.
• Support students in-person and coordinate with CME S-STEM program.

Job Summary/Basic Function

The Math tutor(s) will offer help and answer math questions for high school students registered in in-person on-campus tutorial sections during 3-5pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays when Shepherd University is open during Fall 2024 and/or Spring 2025. The program is partially sponsored by the S- STEM club and the CME S- STEM program.

Minimum Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
• Earned a grade of B or above for at least one of MATH 155/Math 254/ MATH 207/Math 307.
• Enrolled part‑time at Shepherd University Fall/Spring 2026-2027

Preferred Qualifications

Have tutorial or TA experience.
