Job summary

Ampact, through Math Corps, is seeking Math Tutor volunteers for the 2026-27 school year in Georgia. You’ll tutor groups of up to 3 students for 20–30 minutes, following a set schedule while helping students improve math skills. The role emphasizes coaching, growth, and community impact.

Positions are part-time (25 hours/week) with daytime school hours, August 2026–May 2027. Stipends and education awards are available through AmeriCorps as part of the program.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Ability to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to support students.
• Track student progress and meet with on-site coach regularly.
• Enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to personal growth through coaching and training.
• Share experience with the community.
