The mission of Equitas Academy Charter Schools is to prepare students for college, careers, and life pursuits, and to inspire them to be champions of equity. We currently serve over 2,000 students and operate seven schools in the Pico-Union neighborhood of Los Angeles.

A Day in Your Life as an Equitas Teacher:
- Lead rigorous instruction in Mathematics.
- Deliver instructional materials based on our rigorous and aligned curriculum.
- Communicate and collaborate with families regarding student behavior and academic progress.
- Maintain high academic and behavioral expectations.
- Demonstrate a warm demander style with scholars and the school community.
- Approach community building and repair with culturally responsive and restorative practices.
- Start your day by 8:00 am with a team huddle and end at 4:00 pm after dismissal.
- Enjoy regular prep time and a duty-free lunch period.
- Participate in weekly one-on-one feedback sessions with your coach or supervisor.
- Attend scheduled IEP, SST, and 504 meetings.
- Engage actively in weekly professional development to improve school culture and academics.
- Perform other duties to support students and the school community.
What You'll Need:
- A Bachelor's degree.
- A current Single Subject Math teaching credential (internship, preliminary, or clear) or out-of-state equivalent.
- English Learner authorization.
- A strong belief that all students can succeed.
- Experience and success working with students in low-income communities (preferred).
