Qualifications

• Texas State Teacher's Certification in the subject to be taught.
• Bachelor's degree with a passing score on an ExCET/TEXES Exam in the grade level or content area to be taught.
• Bachelor's degree with an academic minor or major (minimum of 18 credit hours) in the core academic subject areas to be taught.
• Bachelor's degree and documented successful, relevant work experience in the content area to be taught, established by at least one year of employment in a specific field or occupation that required knowledge of the content area.

Responsibilities

• Master the Premier High School Curriculum System and adapt instruction for adult learners.
• Manage the classroom by setting clear expectations, routines, and self-discipline while showing empathy.
• Inspire, praise, and correct students with consistency and care.
• Learn and implement teaching curriculum programs.
• Evaluate student progress and communicate with students, parents, and staff.
• Collaborate with colleagues at local and district levels for student benefit.
• Administer tests, monitor performance, and provide interventions.
• Tutor students individually or in groups.
• Perform assigned duties and special projects.
• Maintain professionalism through development and reflection.
• Adhere to handbooks and procedures.
