Job summary

Digital Arts & Technology Academy is seeking a Math Teacher for Algebra 2 and Calculus for the 2026-27 year. The position is full-time with a prorated 200-day calendar, starting as soon as able and continuing through the end of the year.

The role offers a full benefits package, medical/dental/vision and retirement plan with DATA contributing to premiums and retirement accounts. Mondays are 8:00–13:00 for professional development; Tuesdays–Fridays are 7:30–3:30 with students.

Responsibilities

• Arrives on time and is physically present consistently to maintain classroom continuity.
• Meets and instructs assigned classes at designated times and locations.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and student engagement.
• Cooperates in development and implementation of the charter’s program of instruction.
• Plans and implements a program of study meeting students' needs and state standards.
• Guides learning toward curriculum goals and communicates objectives to students.
• Employs instructional methods and materials aligned with stated objectives.
• Maintains standards of student behavior and discipline per school policies and IEPs.
• Evaluates student progress regularly and provides progress reports as required.
• Administers standardized tests per charter and state testing programs.
• Maintains open communication with students and parents about progress.
• Selects and requests books and instructional materials and maintains inventory.
• Provides directions for substitutes and coordinates classroom aides and volunteers.
• Cooperates with staff to assist students with health, attitude, and behavioral concerns.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Upholds Code of Ethics and school rules, policies, regulations.
• Articulates and facilitates mission and values of DATA Academy.
• Safeguards confidentiality of privileged information.
• Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports as required.
• Shares responsibility for supervision of inventory and safety of facilities.
