The Greenspire School in Traverse City, MI is seeking a full-time Middle School Math Teacher with Michigan secondary certification and endorsement in math.

You will plan and deliver engaging math instruction, collaborate on cross-disciplinary projects, assess student learning, and participate in professional development and school activities to support student growth and the school's mission.

Qualifications

Job description

The Greenspire School, located in Traverse City, is hiring a full time Middle School Math Teacher. Must have teacher certification and endorsement.

The Greenspire School offers a unique educational program for high school students based on purposeful connections between individuals, communities, and the environment for grades 6th - 12th. Under the direction of the Head of School, the Teacher will plan and deliver course instruction for high school students. Additionally, the Teacher will collaborate with other instructors to design project-based learning units that connect to multiple disciplines and/or real-world issues.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a passion for teaching. This position requires an individual who can create engaging lesson plans, foster a love for math, and provide instruction that meets the diverse learning needs of students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive math lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
• Develop assessments and monitor student performance through various methods, including tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification/license in Michigan for secondary education with an endorsement in the subject.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities.
• Strong knowledge of math curriculum and state standards.
