Job summary

Le Roy Central School District is seeking a 1.0 FTE math teacher for September 2026, to teach Algebra I and Algebra II and participate in a range of math-related opportunities. The successful candidate will join a high-performing math department known for strong Regents and AP results, and will contribute to literacy-rich instruction and student support.

Candidates should have NYS Math 7-12 certification and a commitment to using technology, collaboration, and restorative practices to advance

Qualifications

• Teach Algebra I and Algebra II and other math courses as part of a robust curriculum.
• Instruct literacy-rich math courses to support diverse learners.
• Provide academic support for math students and monitor progress.
• Stay current with NYSED standards, assessments, curriculum, and RTI practices.
• Maintain collaboration with team and department members.
• Utilize technology to maximize instruction and learning outcomes.
• Promote social-emotional learning and restorative practices in the classroom.

Job description

Le Roy Central School District is seeking a 1.0 FTE math teacher for an appointment beginning in September 2026. The position will be for teaching Algebra I and Algebra II among many other opportunities in extracurriculars. We are seeking an individual to join our top-notch math department that is highlighted by our strong annual Regents and AP results. The department also boasts many high-level learning opportunities through Pre-Calculus and AP Calculus.

The Jr.-Sr. High School has 550+students in grades 7-12, 70+staff members, and has a proud tradition of academic excellence and maintains high behavioral standards. We have a very diverse and vast course catalog that allows our students to challenge themselves and expand their horizons. The ideal candidate will:

• Minimally have NYS Math 7-12 certification
• Prepare and teach math coursesin accordance with NYSED curriculum and standards
• Prepare and instruct literacy rich math courses
• Prepare and instruct academic support for math students
• Stay current in research-based instructional practices and pedagogy, NYS standards, assessment, curriculum, and Response to Intervention practices
• Maintain and enhance collaboration with team members and department members
