Basic Function

Provide educational and nurturing services for students in designated grade(s), aligning with federal, state, and district standards, laws, and regulations, following the HCCSC Master Contract.

Qualifications

Possess a valid Indiana teaching license for the relevant grade level and/or subject. Knowledge of HCCSC principles, lesson planning, and classroom instruction is required.

Essential Functions

1. Develop and implement lesson plans based on district curriculum and standards.
2. Create engaging, culturally proficient learning experiences.
3. Demonstrate content knowledge and effective pedagogy.
4. Analyze student data to personalize instruction.
5. Maintain accurate records and comply with accountability requirements.
6. Report student achievement data as per guidelines.
7. Maintain a respectful, brain-compatible classroom environment.
8. Manage classroom behavior and physical space effectively.
9. Deliver explicit instruction and model expectations.
10. Communicate clearly with stakeholders.
11. Use effective questioning and discussion techniques.
12. Provide timely feedback to students and parents.
13. Identify student needs and collaborate on interventions and support programs.
14. Participate in collaborative planning and professional growth.
15. Provide guidance to instructional support staff as needed.
16. Perform additional duties as assigned by administration.
