Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from PSC-approved college or university.
• Valid PSC-approved teaching certificate.
• Endorsements in ESOL and Gifted required.
• CTAE endorsements relevant to the teaching assignment.
• Pass the GACE Education Ethics Assessment.
• Two years of verifiable industrial work experience.
• Industry licensure may be required.

Responsibilities

• Teaches grade-relevant, subject matter-specific, and mandated curriculum.
• Develops and implements lesson plans for in-person and virtual learning.
• Communicates with district personnel, students, and parents.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and development.
• Uses internet and web-based tech to provide instruction and collaboration.
• Assesses and reports progress, attendance, and performance.
• Supervises student behavior per the Code of Conduct.
• Participates in conferences with parents, students, counselors, teachers, and administrators.
• Directs paraprofessional or instructional aide as needed.
• Maintains prompt and regular attendance.
