Job summary

Our World Neighborhood Charter Schools is seeking an experienced Math/Science Coordinator to support three elementary schools in Queens, NY. This full-time, 11-month role coordinates math and science instruction, aligns curricula with New York State standards, and provides instructional coaching across multiple campuses.

You will analyze student data, guide teachers, and lead professional development to raise achievement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, Education, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
• Valid teaching certification required.
• Minimum of five years of classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of K–8 mathematics and science curriculum, instructional standards, and effective teaching practices.
• Experience in curriculum development, instructional coaching, teacher mentoring, or professional development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mathematics and science instructional initiatives across all three elementary school locations.
• Support the development, implementation, and alignment of mathematics and science curricula with New York State standards.
• Collaborate with principals, instructional coaches, and grade-level leaders to ensure consistent instructional practices and expectations.
• Provide instructional coaching, classroom observations, constructive feedback, and professional development to teachers.
• Support curriculum mapping, pacing guides, assessments, and instructional planning across grade levels.
• Analyze student performance data to identify instructional needs and recommend strategies for improvement.
• Facilitate collaboration, professional learning, and the sharing of effective instructional practices across all three schools.
• Support differentiated instruction and the integration of educational technology.
• Monitor curriculum implementation and instructional effectiveness to promote continuous improvement and student success.
