Role Description The Math Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Reno, NV. This role oversees the design, development, and validation of mathematical models that drive game mechanics, pay tables, and player experiences for slot games. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading a team of mathematicians, reviewing and approving game math designs, and ensuring that game performance aligns with regulatory requirements and business goals. The Math Manager collaborates closely with game designers, product managers, engineers, and data analysts to balance player engagement, volatility, and profitability. Additional responsibilities include mentoring team members, managing project timelines, supporting compliance submissions, and contributing to continuous improvement in math tools, processes, and standards.
Qualifications

• Ability to apply advanced mathematical and statistical methods, including probability, combinatorics, and game theory, to design and analyze slot game mechanics.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills to evaluate game performance data, model player behavior, and optimize game outcomes.
• Experience leading or managing technical teams, including coaching, workload prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency with analytical and programming tools (such as Excel, Python, R, or similar) for simulation, modeling, and verification of game math.
• Working knowledge of gaming regulations, compliance processes, and documentation requirements for land-based slot products.
• Effective communication skills for explaining complex mathematical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and participating in cross-disciplinary design discussions.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field; advanced degree is an advantage.
• Experience in game development, casino gaming, or related entertainment industries is beneficial, along with an interest in player psychology and game design.
