Job summary

Minnetonka Public School Service Center in Minnesota seeks a Math Long Term Sub Teacher for 1.0 FTE, covering the period 10/12/26-4/5/27. Must hold a Minnesota 5-8 or 5-12 Math license and be eligible for medical and dental benefits.

Responsibilities include developing lesson plans aligned to the district curriculum, delivering instruction, assessing student progress, and communicating with families. Collaboration with staff and ongoing professional development are expected.

Qualifications

• Valid Minnesota math teaching license (5-8 or 5-12).
• Ability to implement district-approved curriculum in secondary math.

Responsibilities

• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials aligned to the District approved curriculum.
• Translates lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere.
• Evaluates pupils’ academic and social growth, prepares progress reports.
• Identifies pupil needs and develops strategies for IEPs.
• Communicates with parents via Schoology, newsletters, calls, emails, conferences.
• Collaborates with colleagues and supervisors to improve teaching practices.
