Palm Beach State College is seeking a Lab Tutor in Mathematics to support students by tutoring individually or in groups, both on campus and virtually. The role includes reviewing lab materials and collaborating with faculty to keep resources accurate and engaging.

Ideal candidates have an Associate’s degree in a related field and at least one year of tutoring or teaching experience, plus strong Microsoft Office skills and customer service focus.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in related discipline required.
• One year of related experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications.
• Skilled in delivering a high level of customer service.
• Attention to detail with time and task management.
• Promoting cooperative behavior and teamwork.
• Ability to convey knowledge of tutoring discipline to others practically.

Responsibilities

• Conducts tutoring sessions with individual or multiple students in person and virtual environment.
• Provides constructive feedback on student assignments.
• Reviews lab materials and evaluates lab resources for accuracy.
• Acts as liaison with departments within the discipline area.
• Encourages lab use through faculty collaboration and lab orientation programs.
• Assists with initiatives to improve student retention and completion.
• Creates an engaging learning environment and boosts student confidence.
