Job summary

Palm Beach State College is seeking a tutoring assistant for the Panther Academic Learning Support (PALS) program. You will tutor students in listed disciplines, adapt to in-person and online formats, and help improve academic skills and confidence. The role emphasizes clear communication and adherence to college policies.

Required is a high school diploma or GED, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a focus on delivering excellent customer service. Regular attendance is expected.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional or similar application.
• Content within the tutoring discipline.
• Skilled in delivering a high level of customer service.
• Ability to convey knowledge of the tutorial discipline to others clearly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Conducts tutoring sessions with individual or multiple students in person and virtual environments.
• Provides constructive feedback and suggestions on student assignments.
• Creates an engaging learning environment and enhances student confidence and interest in learning.
• Maintains awareness of College and department policies and guidelines.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
